• Description

I mean do we really need to add a description here? Look at that picture. Just look at it. Copperas Falls is a 40 foot water located in the Red River Gorge. The hike to the falls is unmarked and follows a creek with SEVERAL crossings. We highly suggest bringing water shoes along with a normal pair of shoes to change back into. Something along the lines of Vibram FiveFingers work perfectly. Plus you'll look super cool and leave behind footprints large enough for the locals to swear a Bigfoot was nearby. For the most part this is an easy hike with a couple spots where you will need to scramble up or down rocks/tree roots. Many kids have been on this trail with us and they love being able to play in the creek along the way.

  • Trip Dates

This trip is only offered during the warm months due to the number of creek crossings. Surely, nobody wants to end up with a foot like Mr. Deeds.

  • Meals

Are you kidding me? This isn't Golden Corral! On our short day hikes we don't provide meals. However, feel free to bring along anything you want. Most of our trail guides like turkey and stuffing... just saying.

  • Gear We Provide

On this trip and most of our other day hikes we won't be providing any gear.

  • What Gear To bring

The main thing we suggest is a small daypack. This will allow you to carry snacks or any additional items you may want to bring. Feel free to bring a hammock along as we always do.

  • What Clothes To Bring

As with any trip this mainly depends on the weather. For this hike specifically we recommend water shoes and a change of dry clothes. Chances are you'll get wet. However, if you do hike this entire trail and stay 100% dry we will refund your money on the spot! We reserve the right to cheat and pour water on you.
